Quick Facts

The Friesian (also Frisian) is a horse breed originating in Friesland, a province of the Netherlands. Although the breed's conformation resembles that of a light draft horse, Friesians are graceful and nimble for their size. During the Middle Ages, it is believed that the ancestors of Friesian horses were in great demand as war horses throughout continental Europe.

 

What's Happening

January 2012 -  Wizz & Ollie will be heading up to Welkin Way, Moonbi, near Tamworth, to join Jelco for the remainder of the Stud Season

CavalloNero Friesians are located in the western outskirts of Sydney. 
 
We have our 2 Purebred Stallions standing, The Wizzard, a Traditional Fairytale Baroque Style, and Jelco, a Tall Modern Performance Style.  They are both very different but both have all that is typical of Friesians, Temperament, Bone, Looks, Movement and Trainability, and they pass all this and more onto thier progeny. 
 
And we are lucky enough to be also standing Kingslee Parks Ster Stallion, Orlando Maurits, with us.  Orlando is somewhere in between CN's own boys, in height and type, he is a classic style boy. 
 
 
Our Mares are beautiful and talented in thier own right, and our Youngsters are proving themselves to be everything thier new owners dreamed of.

 

We discovered Friesians over 20 years ago, and are still as passionate as we were then.  We are a small Stud, but our love and dedication to this beautiful breed is as strong as the ever growing numbers of Friesians Breeders and Owners of Australia. 

 

Our Goal is to Promote these Beautiful Black Pearls every chance we can 

   

With a choice between our boys, we can compliment your mare or you can choose a foal from one of our proven broodmares to give you all that you want and need for your own Friesian Dream.

2011 - 2012 Stud Season

Stud Season is off to a great start for CavalloNero.  Girls are arriving, and some have already had hot dates with the boys. 

 

***Note we have some changes to Breeding Season this year***

 

Wizzard and Orlando will be standing at stud at Bringelly ( western outskirts of Sydney ), before heading off at the beginning of January 2012 to Moonbi, to join Jelco, for Stud Commitments until the end of the stud season. 

 

In addition to the CN Boys, Welkin Way are standing a number of stallions this year, more details to follow. 

 

Wizz will be available by Chilled Semen and Live Cover at Bringelly until end of December 2011, and then will be available by Chilled Semen and Live Cover at Moonbi, near Tamworth, from beginning of January 2012 till the end of the breeding season.

 

Ollie will be available by Frozen Semen, Chilled Semen and Live Cover at Bringelly until end of December 2011, and then will be available by Frozen Semen, Chilled Semen and Live Cover at Moonbi, near Tamworth,  from beginning of January 2012 until the end of the breeding season.

 

Jelco will be available by Frozen Semen and Live Cover at Moonbi, near Tamworth, for the entire breeding season.  He is available for Chilled Semen from begining of January 2012 until the end of the breeding season.
